Aaliyah’s family has announced a new fragrance in honor of the late singer, who passed away in 2001. The scent was developed in close collaboration with her brother Rashad Haughton and will be released with perfume company Xyrena.

Missy Elliott alerted fans to the news via Twitter. “Aaliyah fans check out Babygirl new fragrance Xyrena! Her brother @Rad_6 working hard 4 his sis & her fans,” Missy tweeted.

Aaliyah by Xyrena was inspired by actual fragrances the singer wore and contains base notes of vanilla, sandalwood, amber, and jasmine; middle notes of black pepper, violet and leather; with top notes of mint, lavender, and mandarin. In addition, the formula is a hue of black, Aaliyah’s favorite color.

The unisex fragrance retails for $64, and is now available for pre-order, with shipments beginning in mid-October. Five percent of gross sales will be donated to The Aaliyah Memorial Fund.
